Special Benefit for Supporting Low-income Families with Children

Due to prolonged effects of COVID-19, special benefit for supporting low-income families with children being provided.


Eligible Recipients


For families that meet the following conditions and have children aged under 18 as of March 31, 2021 (under 20 if they have special needs) or newborns born between April 2021 and the end of February 2022.


●Single Parent Households
  1. Those who received a child-rearing allowance in April 2021.

    The benefit can be received without applying.The benefit had been transferred to the account designated to receive the Child Rearing Allowance.

  2. Those who did not receive a child-rearing allowance in April 2021 due to receiving a public pension, etc. (Public pensions include a survivor's pension, disability pension, old-age pension, industrial accident pension, or survivor compensation.)
    You must apply to receive the benefit. Please refer to official website of Tsukuba City.
  3. Those whose income is at the same level as those receiving a child-rearing allowance, such as from sudden changes in household finances due to COVID-19.

●Other than Single Parent Households
  1. Those who received a Child Allowance or Special Child Rearing Allowance in April 2021 and who are exempt from paying Resident's Tax(per capita) for FY 2021.
    The benefit can be received without applying.The benefit had been transferred to the account designated to receive the Child Allowance or Special Child Rearing Allowance.
  2. Those who did not receive a Child Allowance because their children were in high school or they worked as a public servant, and who are exempt from paying Resident's Tax(per capita) for FY 2021.
    You must apply to receive the benefit. Please refer to official website of Tsukuba City.
  3. Those whose incomes changed suddenly due to COVID-19, and whose income since January 2021 has been at the same level as that of those exempt from Resident's Tax.

Deadline


Application documents must arrive by February 28, 2022
