Notification Regarding Special Cash Payment

Based on "Emergency Economic Measures to Cope with COVID-19" approved by the Japanese Cabinet on April 20, 2020, "Special Cash Payment" will be provided through a simple scheme that can promptly and appropriately support households while continuing to prevent the spread of infection.
1. Who is eligible and entitled to receive the payment?
(i) Persons eligible for this payment
Persons eligible for this payment are those registered under the Basic Resident Registration System as of April 27, 2020.
The beneficiary of this payment will be the head of the household.
100,000 yen per eligible person
3. How to apply
In order to prevent the spread of infection, please apply by mail or online.
(i) Postal Application
Fill in the bank account details for the transfer on the application form enclosed and send it by post in the enclosed return envelope, together with a copy of your identity verification document(s) and a copy of a bank book or cash card showing the name of the financial institution, account number, and account holder's name.
(ii) Online Application (only available if you have "My Number Card")
To apply online, input the bank account details for the transfer using "Myna Portal", and upload the document showing the details of the bank account. (Since your identity will be verified through electronic signature for My Number Card, you do not need to submit any form of identification.)
* The application deadline is within 3 months from the day we start accepting applications by post.
4. Payment Method
In principal, the money will be transferred to the bank account of the applicant.
