The beautiful night view of Mt. Tsukuba has been designated as a new "Japan Night-view Heritage" by the Japan Night-view Heritage Office in 2018.
Mt. Tsukuba is a sacred mountain and one of "Japan's One-hundred Famous Mountains". From the top of the mountain is seen a magnificent panorama of the night view of the Kanto Plain in the distance. The bright night view of the center of the Tokyo metropolis and the brilliant illumination of Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Sky Tree are also seen when the weather is fine.
Mt. Tsukuba Ropeway operates on Saturday, Sunday and holiday from September to the end of February at night (with possible change according to the weather etc.). Please feel free to come and enjoy the wonderful night views from Mt. Tsukuba.
