Experience Rice Planting!

Japan is a country of rice. And Ibaraki is one of the regions that produce the top quality rice. This event gives you a fun experience of rice planting and harvesting. If you wish to try, contact us by around April 18 by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or fax at 029-868-7622. Around 30 groups (90 individuals) can be accepted. In case there are more applicants, a lottery will be conducted. We will inform whether you can participate the event or not by postal mail before April 25.
Rice Planting: Saturday, April 30, 9:30-13:30
Harvesting: Saturday of late September or early October
-If it rains on Saturday, the event will be postponed to the following Sunday.
The rice field for the event will be in Kita-Ohta-Chiku. Lunch will be offered. Applicants must be those who can participate both events. Primary school children or younger must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
-Adult: \2,500 (lunch and souvenir of 1.5g rice included)
-Children age 4 to primary school: \1,500 (lunch included)
-Children age 3 and under: Free (no lunch)
For the event, please bring clothes that you don't care getting dirty, clothes to change after the event, socks or shoes you don't mind to throw away, drink, a hat and towels.
* Please note that rain boots for regular usage is not suitable for rice planting.
