Mega earthquake occurred at off shore of Tohoku area, northern Honshu, on March 11, Fri, at 14:46. Relatively huge after quakes are still occurring.
Large scale tsunami warning is announced along pacific coast area and there are and have come ashore. It is predicted that tsunami will arrive repeatedly. Please escape to higher place immediately for people where large scale tsunami warning is alerted. Do not come close to the sea and rivers.
Most of train service is not operating in Kanto and Tohoku area. Airport such as Hanamaki, Sendai, Yamagata, Ibaragi, Narita, are closed. Many of highways are closed as well. Japanese government is appealing to those who face difficulty to go home in capital region, that you may have trouble to find information, food, water, toilet and etc. on the way home on foot, so it is wise to stay safer place such as your work place.
Local authorities have started to set up refuge and temporary asylum on your way home. Please find those facility near you and do not hesitate to use them, if necessary.
It is also reported that phone service is overloaded. Too much calls are made to Tohoku and Kanto area. Please be aware that currently control is applied on phone call. Public phone of NTT Higashi Nippon is free to use at the moment.
Japanese government promptly ordered for people who reside within 3 km from Fukushima Dai-ichi Genshiryoku Hatsudensho (Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power starion) to evacuate, as well as who reside from 3 to 10 km from the power station to stay in the house. Currently no radiation leak from the plan is confirmed and the order is as a precautionary measure. Areas affected by the order are part of Okuma-machi, Futaba-machi and Tomioka-machi.

Evacuation Directive has given out from Japan Government at 10 o’clock, March 12 to the people living within a 10-kilemeter radius from Fukushima 1 Nuclear Power Plant(福島第1原子力発電所), 3-kilometer radius from Fukushima 2 Nuclear Power Plant(福島第2原子力発電所). People living within 3-kilometer to 10-kilometer from Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant 2 should stay inside of the buildings.
Currently, no radioactive ingredients is detected. This measure is taken just in case. Designated areas are Ohkuma-Cho(大熊町), Futaba-Cho(双葉町),Tomioka-Cho(富岡町), Naraha-Cho(楢葉町) and part of Hirono-Cho(広野町).

Everybody, hold out! Let’s all take care and encourage each other despite of the severe situation.
Now the government and municipalities are trying their best to return to normality with all their mights.
The Minister of Health ordered all the medical institutions to examine and treat the victims of this earthquake who do not have health insurance cards. In this case they must certify the patient’s name and address to approve their use of insurance. Do not hesitate to see a doctor, even if you do not have your insurance card with you.

It is getting a bit cold at night. Although it has been a devastating situation, let's do our best to survive this disaster by communicating with the others around you. The entire country, municipalities and towns are working hard for restoration in full force.
Kerosine stove burns with the air in the room. If improperly ventilated, the oxygen level reduces and that may cause CO poisoning for incomplete combustion. Especially when using after a long interval, kerosene gets aged and possibility of incomplete combustion becomes higher.
Please pay close attention when using the Kerosine stove and ventilate by opening the window every 2 hours or so even it’s cold.

Many kinds of rumors circulate. The following stories are false rumor:
“Japanese government appeal to the half of the Japanese population to escape from Japan.”
“The explosion of Fukushima nuclear power plants have caused radioactive pollution and it will rain nuclear fallout all over the Japan.”
“It is said that the next earthquake will happen at XX o’clock on coming XXday. (a certain time of a certain day)”
Such are groundless rumors.
Please Don’t be misled by false rumor and glean the right information.
