Either city gas (toshi gasu) or propane gas (puropan gasu) is used in Tsukuba. Ask your landlord/landlady or the real estate agent which type of gas is supplied where you live.
Notify the Tsukuba Gas Company when you want to start up the service. Have their technician check if your appliances are suitable for the type of city gas supplied in Tsukuba 13A (11,000kcal/m3) before using the gas.
When you would like to stop the service, notify the gas company at least a few days in advance prior to moving out. You must notify your address, name, telephone number, moving date and your new address. The gas company will send a technician to disconnect the gas appliances on the day you move out.
