Hello Work Tsuchiura (Public Employment Security Office) provides employment information and consultation for those seeking work. Services are provided to the following groups of foreign residents.
When applying for a job, remember to bring your passport and Alien Registration Card.
A employment counseling office opened on October 11, 2005 at the Sakura Branch Office of the City Hall (4th floor).
Due to relocation of Tsukuba city hall, the employment counseling office is now located at 2nd floor of Oho customer service center (former Oho branch, 1-10-4 Tsukuho, Tsukuba city, TEL: 029-864-3353, FAX: 029-877-6561)
It is open on weekdays from 8:30am to 5pm and closed on weekends and holidays. The office will provide advice on and mediation of employment issues for both employers and employees and it will provide lists of employment opportunities (on computer). This office does not handle employment insurance or payments. Information on such topics is available at Hello Work Tsuchiura.
The laws to protect workers' rights in Japan are applicable to foreign workers too. Under the following circumstances, please consult the Tsuchiura Labor Standards Inspection Office.
