The city will provide a free assessment of the structure of your house to predict how your house can withstand an earthquake. Wood houses that were built before 1981 are eligible. This service is free, but is only available to 100 applicants (first come, first served). Assessments will take place between October 17, 2005 and January 31, 2006.
Please be careful of fraudulent companies who may call and recommend their assessment services. The City will not be calling people to sign up for this service.
