The 19th Tsukuba Kenko Marathon (Updated Dec. 1, 2011)
Come and join the Tsukuba Kenko Marathon! This event was started as a way to promote good health for people of all ages. There are various categories to suit young 1st-grade runners as well as senior runners and everyone else in between.
- Date: Saturday, January 28, 2012 (In case of heavy rain, postponed to Jan. 29)
- Time: Registration 8:00-8:50, Opening Ceremony 8:50, Race starts at 9:30
- Place: On the Track and Campus of Tuskuba University
- Categories
- 3rd and 4th Grade - 2km
- 5th and 6th Grade - 3km
- Junior High - 5km
- High School / Adult - 5km
- Senior - 5km
- Family Marathon for 1st and 2nd graders (Each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) - 2km
- Qualifications: Must reside, work or attend school in Tsukuba or neighboring cities. ※ Elementary and junior high participants must have seiyakusho agreement signed by their parent or guardian permitting them to participate.
- Fee:
- Elementary and junior high category - 300yen
- High School / Adult / Senior category - 500yen
- Family Marathon - 500yen per pair
- Registration: Pick up registration form at one of the registration counters ( Sports Division, community centers, Sakura Sogo Gymnasium, Yoshinuma Gymnasium). Fill out nessasary information and send by mail or drop off the form in person at any of the registration counters. You cannot register by phone or fax. Deadline for registation is December 20.
