Come and witness the traditional new year grass-burning event at one of the oldest historical sites in Tsukuba. You can look forward to seeing Japanese letters appear from the burnt grass.

Date: January 28, 2012 (postponed to Feb. 4 in case of bad weather)
Time: 9:30 - 12:00 (Igniting at 10:00)
Place: Hirasawa Kanga Historical Ruins Square (Hirasawa 353, Tsukuba) ※Parking will be available at Hirasawa Parking Area.
Event: Traditional grass burning on Jan. 28 / Fire-fighting exercise on Jan. 26 (Fire-prevention Day)
